This site shows the progress of the building of a 10 foot lapstrake ply dinghy, as shown in the picture above. It is a design from Iain Oughtred, called Puffin. This dinghy exists in a few variations, known as "Acorn 10" and "Acorn 15" The Puffin is derived from the "Acorn 10".

The building is done by Jos v.d. Zalm and me, Meindert Sprang. The progress of it is recorded as a diary with pictures. We mainly work on the boat in the evenings, with an average of 3 hours per evening.
